The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) is a test required to certify teachers
Overview
NWGA RESA is a Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved Educator Preparation Provider. The Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (Ga TAPP) is an alternative teacher preparation program for individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher but have not met the requirements for renewable teacher certification. Candidates are served through a blended (face-to-face/online model) to minimize teacher candidate travel and absences from the schools in which they teach.
Georgia TAPP is not a degree-bearing program and is not intended to replace regular college teacher education programs. It is, instead, an alternative option for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher but do not have a teaching certificate. Georgia TAPP equips teacher candidates with the pedagogical knowledge and skills needed to ensure a reasonable expectation of initial success in their classrooms and requires a supervised candidateship/induction program that will help them move toward subsequent mastery of teaching.
