Areas of Support

Regional coaching support is planned with districts and schools and may include the following areas of work:

Coaching Development and Support

Supporting coaching cycles, reflective practice, professional relationships, and partnerships between school-based literacy coaches and principals.

Evidence-Based Instruction and Data Use

Collaborating with coaches and leaders to connect structured literacy, instructional materials, screening results, and evidence of student learning to instructional decisions.

Literacy Planning and Implementation

Partnering on the district readiness process, school literacy coaching plans, and Unified Literacy Plans (ULPs) to align Georgia's early literacy and dyslexia requirements with local priorities and existing structures.

Professional Learning and Collaboration

Facilitating shared learning, cross-district collaboration, and practical problem-solving for literacy coaches and leaders.

Learning Together

NWGA RESA brings school-based literacy coaches, school leaders, and district teams together for shared learning, collaborative planning, and professional exchange focused on early literacy implementation.

Opportunities include early literacy coaching meetings, virtual professional learning communities, and literacy-focused learning for leaders.
