·         Northwest Georgia RESA offers the state mandated Substitute Teacher Training that must be taken when applying to become a Substitute Teacher.   You must be registered to attend.  To register, please see training calendar for dates.  Choose a date/location that will work for you and contact me by email (sdees@nwgaresa.com) or telephone (706-295-6189, ext. 0) to register.

·         There is no fee for the training; however, it is extremely important that you call as soon as possible to cancel if you are unable to attend the training so that that seat may be given to someone else who needs the training.  Our classes do fill up and people are registered on a first come, first serve basis.

·         Any other specifics (i.e. application process, pay scale, etc.) are guidelines that are set by each individual school system.  Any questions of this nature should be directed toward the school system(s) in which you want substitute teach.

·         Northwest Georgia RESA serves 16 school systems in the northwest Georgia area.  The training certificate is good for at least those 16 northwest Georgia systems.  Other school systems may accept our certificate at their discretion.
